Roblox recognises revenue from sales of the digital

It now has 31.1 million daily users up 82 percent year over year and the company has filed to go public. As it’s grown more and more mainstream names have carved out a space inside Roblox to meet its huge audience. Lil Nas X performed a virtual concert there in November and the game hosted a treasure hunt to tie in with the release of Ready Player Two earlier this week.

It has also drawn concern from parent groups about its potentially addictive nature and offensive content on the platform.Roblox listed its ability to “provide a safe online environment for children” as a risk factor in the prospectus.

    Roblox says the treasure hunt will take place across seven different game worlds. The first world is already open but it sounds like the event really kicks off on December 1st when a Q&A with Cline and Roblox CEO Dave Baszucki will air inside the game. Players will be “awarded virtual goods” specific to the Ready Player Two event for completing the treasure hunt.Warner Bros. previously partnered with Roblox for a similar event to promote the film adaptation of Ready Player One with 13 million people participating.
